Dry Eye Center in Vancouver, WA

Dry Eye is an increasingly common issue Dr. Chan was seeing among her patients. After much research into the subject, Dr. Chan felt that there was a strong need for a clinic to treat this pervasive disease so she decided to bring in the latest technology and establish the first Dry Eye Center of Excellence in Southwest Washington.

Common symptoms of dry eye disease include burning and redness, ocular fatigue, sensitivity to light, excessive tearing, transient blurring, and contact lens intolerance.

What technology do you have to diagnose and treat dry eye syndrome?

To Diagnose Dry Eye Syndrome

Lipiview is a tool used for diagnosing many of the root causes of dry eye disease. Studies have shown that 86% of dry eye patients have Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) as a primary cause of dry eye. It is important to test for MGD to direct treatment appropriately.

To Treat Dry Eye Syndrome

Lipiflow is the machine that is used to most accurately treat patients with MGD. The LipiFlow uniquely applies a combination of heat and pressure to the inner eyelid to safely remove gland obstructions and stagnant gland content.
